WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS A LOT OF SPOILERS COMBINED WITH LOW-RES PICTURES TAKEN FROM A NDSI. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
On the afternoon of Friday, the 22nd of the 10th in year of the lord 2010. I ventured into Gamestop with fellow BLARGer Adam. It was the game we talked about for a year. The wait was well worth it especially for the near (Pardon the made up word here folks) JIZZTASTIC!.
I spent €80 on the collectors edition, So before I review the game, Allow me to review the actual boxset first.
The first thing i'd like to cover is "All Roads".
All Roads is 40 page graphic novel written by Chris Avellone. It basically tells the story of what happened prior to New Vegas, including Benny meating up with the "Great Khans". It was a great read all together although a bit annoying how we aren't really introduced to the Khans personally.
Next thing I'll talk about are the chips.
You get 8 chips in all. One
from each of the major Casinos; The Tops, Ultra-Luxe, Atomic Wrangler etc. It's really nice to have these handy. Not because I intend to gamble/sell. Just to have around as a collectors item. This applies only to 7 of the 8 chips. The 8th chips is EXTRA special. The chip is the "Lucky 38 Platinum Chip" which the entire game is based around. It's even cooler how it is made of proper metal :P.
You also get a "The Making of New Vegas" DVD. I thought this was great. This is a behind the scenes 1 hour long ( At least I think it's that long) documentary of all the work that went into vegas, Featuring interview and such.
Finally but not least the Deck of "New Vegas" cards. Featuring various new Vegas characters with little catch-phrases underneath.
So overall I'd give this Collectors edition boxset 10/10.
This is well worth the price of €80 (Whatever currency it is where you are) and is a MUST for all Fallout fans.
