Apologies,Return, and Review Oh MY!

Hello everyone for the past 3 months or so I was internetless so no reviews for me, but i'm back now so let's get this show on the road.

This post has a subtitle, "The Best Games You NEVER Played". This is where i'll review a minor game title which isn't too well or not known well enough in my opinion. Allow me to take you on a trip back in time, back when the ps1 was at it's height and the future looked bright for gaming, when out of the blue burst this game...

Alundra was released back in 1997, The game follows the boy known as Alundra who has the unique ability to walk into peoples dreams. The game opens on a ship sailing to the town of Inoa. Alundra is going here because of a dream of a man names Lars calling him. Eventually it is revealed that Lars is a god and he has called for Alundra to ask him to kill Melzas who is essentially a Satan like character planning to destroy the world. The game also has Alundra play the saviour of the town by healing people who are being killed by their dreams as Melzas manipulates them. However this only happens when Alundra arrives leading some townsfolk to believe he is causing us and the story just takes off from there.

The game is essentially like a more mature Zelda game. The puzzles are more difficult and the graphics are simaler to the original sprites like the SNES and such. While the music and graphics aren't that much to write home about. The Story and Gameplay are an amazing combo. Overall i'd give this about 8.5/10. And if you were planning to buy some classic PS1 game on Ebay you should try and get it as it goes for about 20 euro/ 16 pounds on it. HOWEVER AVOID THE "SEQUEL" AT ALL COSTS AS IT IS SHIT!

Another Game I think is brilliant but never really took off is Whiplash.

Whiplash was a controversial game for the PS2 and XBOX.
It follows the story of Spanx the Weasel and Redmond the Hare as they try to escape from the global company Genron who enjoy testing their new products on animals, e.g. The Hamster Cannon.
In the game you must travel through the Headquarters of Genron freeing your fellow incarcirated animals using a trust chain attaching you to Redmond and using him like a flail. With all kinds of powerups such as Fire Redmond, Radioactive redmond etc. the fun never ends... if you enjoy hearing a rabbit screaming and calling an asshole for setting him on fire. The Graphics are quite good for a ps2 and the story is sublime. However the music is awful, let's face it using the same song for the duration nearlly does get VERY VERY VERY boring. But overall I'd give this a 7.5 /10 and is one of the Golden ps2 games which are available.

A name like "Whiplash" could cause disappointment.
