Epic Games To Announce New IP!

At GDC (Games Development Conference) 2011 Epic Games are expected to announce a new project. Is it a sequel to Infinity Blade? Shadow Complex or a Gears Of War prequel? Well, no apparently they're going ahead and making a completely new title.

Its not a surprise that the massive independent video game developers known as Epic Games are going ahead to announce a new project, but will it be their own? Considering that People Can Fly (a studio owned by Epic Games) are busy with the release of Bulletstorm and Chair Entertainment (another studio owned by Epic Games) have just shipped their latest product Infinity Blade. So its hard to consider Epic Games the culprit of this new IP since they're busy with Gears Of War 3 but could they be working on multiple projects? I find it unlikely since Epic Games are rather a small team focusing usually on the one project.

Cliff Bleszinski design director over at Epic Games gave a tip in the latest issue of EGM. Stating that everyone  should "keep eyes peeled at GDC" going on to say :

"I believe game designers are the Stan Lees and Jack Kirbys of our day, and we're creating these universes that leave a huge impact on people," Bleszinski explained. "Gamers votes with their dollars and they often like established IP, but those IPs came from somewhere, right? Call of Duty was crafted by the original Medal of Honor guys. Gears of War was crafted by the original Unreal Tournament guy. I look forward to creating what's next."
Interesting....I hope its not Epic Games creating this title because that puts a lot of attention off Gears Of War 3 and I want that game to be perfect!
