Final Fantasy XIII Review

Logo of Final Fantasy XIII- The First of the Fabula Nova Crysallis
It's been just over a year of it's release and as I write this, it's the eve of the first time I played it (My 16th birthday). I think that by now i've played it enough to give a real review.

Final Fantasy Xiii takes place on the world of Cocoon, a perfect utopia with it's citezens nurtured by the gods called Fal'Cie. The main problem is that Cocoon is under constant fear of attack from the lower world of Pulse, described as hell. The Fal'Cie of each world tasks citezens with a task to destroy/sabotage the opposing Fal'Cie, These are called L'Cie. Their reward for this? Eternal life in the form of being frozen in a crystal, If they don't do it, they're turned into fucked up zombies called Cie'th.Cold hearted Lightning Farron

So the game begins. The opening features the characters Lightning and Sazh as they try to destroy a pulsian Fal'Cie which has been hiding on cocoon. They're joined by Snow, Hope and Vanille, 3 other characters you play as. After a series of events, they wind up inside the Fal'Cie and are turned themselves into L'cie and they're tasked with... Destroying Cocoon. And so it begins.

The early plot I mentioned above sounds like a bad idea for a game, it isn't. It's hard to pack in so much into an internet blog. Unusual for a Final Fantasy game, there is no Main Character. Each character has his/her own special moments, Whether it's Hopes mothers death or Snows determination to rescue his Fiancée Serah. The story develops amazingly as the paranoia of Cocoons citezens renders the six (One more character is gained later) L'Cie fugitives. This story is brilliant and is filled with more twists and turns than Charlie Sheen and his Record for drugs (Yup, I made a Charlie Sheen joke). The story is packed with more emotion than a VERY hormonal teen at a Justin Bieber concert (Yes a JB joke too) and it's a good emotional story. Not anything sappy like every soap (...).

Graphics in this game are to put it into my usual term : JIZZTASTIC!. Graphics are almost realistic. There's so much effort put into buildings, even the background ones so that we get the best graphical experience possible. The detail put into each individual character too is amazing. Even during a huge parade with at least 150 characters each has great detail on their clothing face etc.
Check out the motherfucking texture on that sword!

After a long campaign, there's nothing like a lot of sidequests to knock back. Well Final Fantasy 13 has loads. They kept with the tradition of the "Hunting" sidequest from Final Fantasy 12 with around 70 monsters. With these 70 unique monsters, new strategies and equipment is needed. Difficult varies greatly from having a quick 10 second dispatch to a 25 minutes on the hardest hunt ( This was what it took me to do. For a first time going against it I think I did well).

Overall this is getting a 10. It's perfect. The story sublime, the music would put the ghosts of Bach and Tciakovsky to shame, the graphics mind numbingly amazing.
That's all for now. Catch you lata' homies

I don't care how good it looks, I still think the whole FF series has gone on too long.

Ah yes but each Final Fantasy is a unique RPG with barely anything in Common with the series. Only popular characters and monsters get re-used over and over again which is part of the charm
